The SC fiber fast connector, also known as a fiber quick connector or field installable fiber connector, uses a pre-polished ferrule and mechanical splice technology to enable quick fiber termination directly in the field. This design eliminates the need for polishing equipment and significantly reduces installation time. The connector supports 2.0x1.6mm, 2.0x3.0mm, and 2.0x5.0mm fiber cables, providing flexible compatibility with common drop cables used in fiber access networks.
With typical insertion loss: AVG ≤ 0.3 dB, MAX ≤ 0.5 dB; return loss ≥ 50 dB (UPC) / ≥ 55 dB (APC), the field installable fiber connector provides stable optical transmission for FTTH access networks and enterprise fiber installations.

An SC fiber fast connector is a field installable fiber connector designed for rapid fiber termination without fusion splicing. It allows fiber cables to be connected quickly using mechanical splice technology.
The main difference between SC APC fast connectors and SC UPC fast connectors lies in the connector end-face polish.
